C@T

Well its been a while hasn't it. School has taken over my life!
This is a sketching project I did a little while ago for school. I got a 9.5 on it.
The school semester is almost over! It ends this friday, so one more project and a couple tests to get through and then I am DONE my first semester! .....only 2 and a half years to go! O_O seems like such a long time!
If you haven't seen the movie Tangled yet go see it! I saw it twice and am completely obsessed...at least until I see Voyage of the Dawn Treader! I drew a picture of the guy (Flynn) in Tangled, so I will hopefully update it soon! I want to punch out a couple other tangled sketches first though! anywho, hope you like the cat skull!

Smokey on my bed, purring like a fiend

Hello!

I couldn't decide what to upload today so I just put up a bunch of random photos! They were taken in my room, in my backyard, and at the local park.
I've been really busy with school, but I am done in about three weeks! Then I have a bunch of Christmas stuff to do! I just never ends!!! Hope you like the photos!

50....50....50

Hey!
This is my 50th post on this blog!
This is a sketch I did of Audrey Hepburn. I loooove this actress! She is so amazing! You should go get all of her movies! Some of my favorites are Funny Face (with fred astaire!!), Breakfast at Tiffanies, and Roman Holiday. I highly recommend them! The picture above is from breakfast at tiffanies. Again, sorry about the glare, I better start scanning my pictures! I hope you like my sketch!

Steam

Hey!
This is another sketch for my end of year portfolio! This one was a lot of fun to draw, especially his breath. It was hard to get the wolf to have volume and not just be a flat blob. I think he turned out pretty good though! Hope you like!
school is so crazy right now, its getting to the end of the year so I am getting some larger projects. :S
I went to see megamind on Tuesday! If you haven't seen it go see it!!! Its awesome and sooo funny! You have to see it! It's also completely clean, which is weird for a movie nowadays! Let me know if you see it and tell me what you think in the comments!

~Wrinkles~

hey! yes I know I need to update more!
Today is another sketch. This one is for my end of school portfolio for my illustration class. This is a Rhino, I took a photo of it at the zoo and decided to sketch it for a challenge to myself! Click to see the larger version, I put lots of effort into those wrinkles! Doing his nose was a lot of fun, I don't know what it is with me and animal noses. I love drawing then, but not people noses, they are difficult to draw!
I should start putting up different projects, before everybody starts thinking all I do is sketch at school!
I hope you like the rhino!

Sketch!

Hey everyone!
I have to start catching up on all the stuff I have to upload!
These are some sketches I have done over the past year. Sorry about the poor pictures, I should probably start scanning them instead of taking a photo with some of these! Anyway, they are all pretty self explanatory. The middle one I was trying for a more abstract feel, and I really like how it turned out! The top and bottom one are more photorealistic. I hope you like them! Leave me a comment telling me your favorite!

rawr.

Hey!
This is the second dinosuar that I did for school. This one I actually had to hand in. I got a 9.5 on! So far I think Illustration is my favorite class, I get my highest marks and the professer is awesome! This dinosuar was really hard, he took me about three tries! But he turned out good in the end, so I am happy!
I am so behind in updating!! I have a whole ton of stuff to put on here, lots of sketches and some photos. So hopefully I will start catching up with all that, so stay tuned AND DONT CHANGE THAT CHANNEL!

These Boots...

yaaaay I finally got my boot back! This is a sketch I did for school. I got a ten out of ten on it, so my professer (who is awesomeness itself in my opinion) wanted to get a scan of it to use as an example for future first years! So I am pretty happy, and I think my mom is happier!

I have a ton of stuff I need to post on this blog but no time to update! I got another sketch back today, another (better) dinosaur I did! So I will hopefully upload it soon! Talk to you then!

PS What do you think of me getting a professional email to post on this site so I could get requests? Let me know in the comments!

Graphite

Hi!
Today I put up some more sketches, except the bottom one. The top two I will probably put in my portfolio for school. The Bottom one was just for fun, with sharpies! I love sharpies, but they smell bad after awhile!
I hand in my dinosaur tomorrow, I will post a picture of it when I get the mark on it. Hopefully I will get my boot picture back this week and will put that up too!

Dinomite!

Thats my bad pun for the day :) give me a break I was up late! I'll stop now.

I thought you all might be sick of flowers right now, so I'll shake it up a bit! This is a sketch I did in class this past week. It is a very fun technique to use! We used sandpaper and filed alot of pencil lead onto the page, then used a tissue to blur it all to get that neutral grey colour. Then we use our erasers to pull out highlights, and draw in the shadows! It's alot of fun, I love doing it!

I took alot of pictures of sketches so expect to see alot coming up! Along with more flowers! haha you thought you were done ;)

Flora&Fauna II

Hey!
Here are some more pictures of random flowers and stuff. I love taking pictures of water droplets. Whenever my mom is watering the garden and I am following her around with my camera! I also like to get different angles, like the Queen Anne's Lace. My family is laughing at me because I am always running off and kneeling on the ground to take a picture! I don't care though!
Hopefully I will get some more school projects up soon, I have a few, I just have to upload them still! talk to you then! Leave a comment telling me what your favorite picture is!

Hey! This is the first of a number of updates with pictures of stuff from my backyard or otherwise. So if flowers bore you, might as well just close this window now! Or you could keep looking if you are trying to sleep.
Tomorrow I will get my sketch back from school, so I will try to upload it soon after I get it! See ou then! (well not really see, unless you have a webcam, and we are talking to each other, and...anyway)

Hey!
This is a painting I did for another homeschool family. It is an oild painting of the photo found
here http://periwinklepaints.blogspot.com/2010/04/teardrops-on-my-maple-leaf.html Painting the water droplets were alot of fun! I really enjoyed doing this painting and hated to give it away! Everything about it was fun to do! Except for trying to mix that rusty colour, that was difficult to find! I will update again soon hopefully!

Camera Junkie II

porcelin horse statue, the sketch I uploaded a few days ago is of this guy

Bridle I won in a drawing contest, now all I need is a horse to wear it!
Another shot of the porcelin horse, with one of my necklaces draped over it...told ya I was bored

Hey!
Wow two days in a row!
All of these photos are from my room, this is what happens when I am bored and not tired, I walk around in my pajamas and take random photos!
I am kinda surprised that these photos actually uploaded, my computer has been such a slug today, it must be contagious! I have been so unmotivated today! So after dinner I have to get to work on some homework! Have a wonderful long weekend!

Volumetric Sketchiness

Hey there strangers!

Long time no update, blame my professers for giving me homework! I've been really busy with school and personal free time doing absolutley nothing! Also busy painting for an upcoming art contest! So excited! fingers crossed that I win!

The above drawing is a project I did for school. Its called Volumetric drawing, using lines to give the illusion of shape and volume. I got the marks for it today and got a 9.5 out of 10! yay! I was happy! Hopefully I can keep up the good marks. I handed in another project yesterday for that class, I will upload it when I get it back! Hopefully I will update more!

Lion{and}Lamb

Hey! How's everyone? The weather is so much nicer here, less hot and humid! But I am still ready for fall weather!
Today's painting is another mural I did at my church this past week. It is in the nursury and is much more visible, so hopefully I will get some more people asking for murals for their kids room or whatever room they want it in! I started this mural on Monday and finished sealing it on Friday, so it didn't take me too long! This one would be worth roughly $600. There are three ladybugs and an inch worm hidden in their somewhere! I hope you like it!
